so this is my thesis film.. i've been workin on it for quite a while and it's awesome finally seeing it finished!

i couldn't decide how to categorize it.. comedy or drama.. when i first started working on it, my only intent was to make a light hearted father-son flick.. but once the animatic was put together, people said it was sad; the complete opposite of what i was going for.. but now that it's finished i think it's a good composite of both. it's not too sad and it's not full of stupid fart jokes or something.. i tend to rate movies by how much heart they have. i tried putting a lot of heart into this one and i hope it comes through.

overall i'm pretty happy with how it turned out.. i did pretty much everything myself, including writing and playing some music. which i wasn't sure if i could do or not.

anyway, that's enough. enjoy!

It turned out exactly like your concepts showed, so that's a noble act to start with. It turned out very well. I love the trees bouncing as the dad walks, it's timing is just wonderful. Gooooooood job, Mike!

@05:29hi michael. i really like the first section of the film when the boy is a kid. the child innocence is a great feeling- when you still love everything. but you also did a good job of showing how people feel differently as they live their lives. You are really skilled at adding little details and movements for people's reactions: the scene where he first sees the girl in the building and when he kneels down on the hill are especially good.
